Slab clamp overhead crane is a special bridge crane equipment for metallurgical industry, mainly for handling high-temperature slabs. Its main body adopts a bridge structure, consisting of a main beam, end beams, and a trolley running mechanism. The main beam is a box-type design with strong load-bearing capacity. End beams connect the main beam and the trolley wheels to realize the longitudinal movement along the track. The overall structure is compact and adaptable to the high temperature and dusty workshop environment.
The core component is the slab clamp device, which consists of a clamp arm, a hydraulic system and a locking mechanism. The clamp arm is driven by a hydraulic cylinder and can automatically clamp or release the slab. Hydraulic system provides a stable clamping force to ensure safe handling. In addition, the lifting mechanism adopts a double-drum wire rope winding system, which cooperates with the trolley and crane running mechanism to achieve three-dimensional precise positioning of the slab.
Slab clamp overhead crane also has an electrical control system, a safety limit device and a cooling protection system. The electrical system controls the coordinated operation of various mechanisms; the limit device prevents overloading or overtravel; and the protection system isolates high-temperature radiation. It is characterized by a high degree of automation, high temperature resistance, and strong stability. It is widely used in continuous casting workshops and steel rolling production lines, greatly improving the efficiency of slab transfer.
Continuous casting workshop: At the exit of the continuous casting machine, slab clamp overhead crane is responsible for clamping and transporting the high-temperature slabs from the continuous casting cutting area to the slab stacking area or slow cooling pit to ensure efficient connection of the production process.
Steel rolling production line: In the hot rolling mill, it transfers the slabs from the storage area or the entrance of the heating furnace to the rolling mill roller table to meet the continuous feeding requirements of the rolling process.
Slab warehouse management: It is for stacking, reversing and loading operations in the slab warehouse, and cooperates with the automation system to realize the intelligent storage management of slabs.
